Many people believe that the use of new technology improves lives of employees.

Others think it is a disadvantage for them. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

 

 

Although some people suppose that technology plays a crucial role in individuals’ jobs, there remains some disagreement on this view. I personally contend that technology is deemed critically essential in every society on the globe.

 

Many people believe the use of technology is a key to improvement in work places. Advocates of this view consider a number of primary reasons for that. Firstly, the technology provides the employees with a more comfortable situation to work. Furthermore, it saves them time as tasks would be done more rapidly. Finally and even more importantly, technology serves quality services due to involving organized data. Salient examples of new technologies are computers that are widely employed in various organizations and institutions and entail the three mentioned merits.

 

In stark contrast, some other people introduce dependency as a major problem. They remain convinced that employees are not able to work any longer if technology would be removed from their life. They clarify that if power would be cut out for a short while, it remains labor force jobless during that time and the tasks would not be accomplished until the electricity comes back on. A further drawback they assert is that technology has made occupations solitary and sedentary and hence, slob employees at work.

 

From a personal point of view, due to the reasons outlined in the first part of the essay, technology as a recent phenomenon is absolutely essential. It is an integral part of human’s life that the demerits such as dependency and inactivity can easily be ignored.

 

By way of conclusion, despite differing views as to whether individuals apply technology at workplace, I once again reaffirm my position that technology serves several useful purposes and its influence will grow even stronger, thus its significance should be appreciated.

IELTS Writing Task 2 with Band 7 Answer Model

 

In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry.

Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?

 

During the past century, we were witness of a significant improvement in the agriculture sector. Modernizing the ways of planting, processing and harvesting, using new fertilizers and pesticides have greatly contributed to increasing the quantity and quality of the agricultural products. However, these technologies have not reached everyone equally. There is still huge number of people in the world who cannot afford to meet their basic nutritional needs. The essay tries to assess the main reasons of this inequality and gives some recommendation to address this challenge.

 

Firstly, it is estimated that millions of people still earn less than one dollar per day and live in extreme poverty. Although significant promotions have been made in manufacturing sufficient food, people in less developed countries still suffer from starvation. In another word, only people in developed countries get benefit from advantages of this modernization. Apart from the unequal access to technologies, mismanagement of the resources is also an important factor leading to inadequate production. For instance, in my hometown, Iran despite having basic infrastructure such as fertile lands, enough sunlight and necessary agricultural equipment, the excessive and unsustainable use of water resources caused many problems for farmers in recent years.

 

Having mentioned the main reasons of endurance of hunger in some parts of the world, some solutions have been introduced by some experts. On the top of them are the ratification of the resolutions on millennium development goals and subsequently sustainable development goals in the United Nations. One of the main goals in the both mentioned documents is the reduction of hunger among the member states especially less developed ones. Hopefully, in 2016 the number of people suffering from the hunger was halved. This shows the firm commitment and the importance of cooperation among the states which brought fruitful results for the world’s population.

 

In a nutshell, hunger will not be an enduring problem in the next years if states especially developed ones fulfill their commitment to transfer necessary technology to the less developed nations and invest in their infrastructure as advised in two aforementioned global agreements.

IELTS Writing Task 2

 

It is generally acknowledged that families are now not as close as they used to be.

Give some reasons why this change has happened and suggest how families could be brought closer together.

 

It is a widely held perception that individuals do not spend time with family members like before. This essay aims to identify the sources of this problem and offer possible solutions.  

 

On the basis of research findings over the last few decades, financial constrains have made both parents work and made it difficult for them to get together after a hard long day and spend any time with their children and even with themselves being overtired. The second source of this problem concerns with the use of technology. It is an irrefutable fact that technology has kept family members apart considerably and made them indoor types to stay busy with sedentary and passive activities. A salient example is the use of the cellphone which is widely seen in ever one’s hands nowadays. Unfortunately a vast majority of people would rather work with their cellphone rather than talk to others. This issue has led family members to live in isolation.

 

Admittedly, there are two main solutions to this critical problem. Firstly, individuals have to lessen the amount of workload to enjoy more time with family members and friends. In so doing, they would get together to share more feelings and emotions. Further, though, and equally important is to allot particular time during the day to use their cellphones so that they can dedicate more time being with their family members and intimate friends. I wish people realize the enjoyment of spending time with others and appreciate the importance of that.

 

By way of conclusion, given that multiple factors contribute to individuals’ isolation due to workload as well as technology role in human’s life, based on family counselors’ advice, it is recommended, regarding the above-mentioned solutions, individuals pay exclusive attention to the value of family gatherings which demands further consideration.
