Introduction: and Who this person is?

Life is too short and gives us some opportunities to meet different people on a daily basis. In this regard, one of the best and most successful people that I ever meet is my intimate friend, Ali who gained numerous outstanding achievements over his life. he is a well-known entrepreneur based in Iran and also the founder of a leading startup that has revolutionized the e-commerce industry in the country.

When you studied/worked with this person?

I studied with him when we were studying management at the university of Tehran. We were both studying business administration together.

What you did together?

My friend and I worked on a couple of college projects together. We spent myriad hours to design our study plan and to collect data for that project. We also studied together to be completely prepared for college examination and helped each other to understand complex concepts.

What this person did to become successful?

Owing to determination, back-breaking effort and innovative studying plan he got such a spectacular result. He was always a self-motivated and goal-oriented person and more importantly self-disciplined, but what set him apart from other students was his ability to identify problems and come up with the best solutions. he got the chance to establish his own company and made a huge money by doing so.

And explain how you felt about studying or working with this person.

Studying with him was a great experience and his passion for learning was admirable and motivated me to work harder. He always inspires me and reminds me that practice makes perfect.

1. Is money the only measure of success in your country?

Although in my country many people take financial condition as one of the key criteria to get success into account, educated people have their own lifestyle and are care about popularity and other more effective factors in which many of them are not rich but still considered as successful people due to their achievements, expertise and having a good reputation in the society.

2. How do you define whether one is a successful person?

As a matter of fact, it is normally defined subjectively and has a different meaning to everyone, but generally speaking, it can be described in terms of a couple of criteria as follows, gained objectives, popularity, social standing and sometimes properties. Successfulness can be measured according to a number of key factors as:

1. achieved good educational qualifications
2. financial stability
3. having good family ties
4. being a useful member of the society
5. meeting social expectations and needs

3. What is the standard of success in your country?

In my point of view, it is highly diverse and influenced by individual and societal expectations. In Iran a person with good educational qualifications, financial stability and family ties is totally recognized as a successful one.

4. Is there a contradiction between success and happiness?

Actually, there is not a big conflict between these two items but as research findings have shown, success is a double-edged sword. so, it depends. Success can contribute to happiness when it aligns with individual values and goals, but it may result in unhappiness if got at the expense of one’s well-being and satisfaction. Therefore, to be happy with life we should make a balance between all aspects of our lives.

5. Is it easy to succeed in the national tests in your country?

Because of the competitive situation that is lied ahead of the test takers in Iran, it is like a battle field and they should be a few steps ahead of their rivals to be accepted and get their educational goals.

6. What are the factors that influence students grades at school?

Myriad factors play a significant role in students’ scores. Despite the fact, that it is primarily relied on students' efforts. Teachers have a great impact on this matter and parental support can make a big difference as well.
